China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd., (CHEC) a subsidiary company of Hong Kong listed China Communications Construction Corporation Ltd. (CCCC), is mainly responsible for developing the overseas market on behalf of CCCC.

CHEC has long experience in providing professional services in fields of port development industrial, road and bridge construction, dredging and reclamation works and other major infrastructure works. CHEC has become one of the major players in international construction market.

CHEC entered into Indonesia market in 1996. Up to now, a number of projects have been successfully completed. The projects include: Jakarta International Container Terminal Expansion Plan Civil Works Contract No.3 (JICT 3), Offshore Facilities Installation Works for Betara Complex Development Project, Water Intake System Works for Cilacap 2x300 MW Coal Fired Steam Power Plant, Dredging and Reclamation Works for Dumai Port Development Project, and other dredging works in various locations in Indonesia. Sura-Madu Bridge, the largest bridge under construction in Indonesia is jointly executed by CHEC and CRBC.

PT. Zhen Hua Indonesia is a subsidiary of CHEC and acts as authorized representative of CHEC in Indonesia.

PT. Karya Bayu Abadi Lines is owned and managed by PT. Zhen Hua Indonesia for dredging and reclamation works.
